This Privacy Policy describes how Aurora Link VPN ("App", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when you download, install, or use our Android application and related services. Please read this Policy carefully. By installing or using the App, you acknowledge that you have reviewed this Privacy Policy.
This Policy is intended to help you understand our data practices and to meet applicable Google Play User Data, VPN, advertising, and related platform requirements. It does not grant rights beyond those provided by applicable law.
Aurora Link VPN is an Android VPN application. It uses Android's VpnService API to create a device-level virtual network interface and route supported network traffic through selected VPN servers. The App is designed to help provide encrypted connectivity between your device and the VPN server you choose.
A VPN session starts only after you approve Android's system VPN permission prompt. You may disconnect at any time from the App or from your device settings. The App does not require you to create an account to use core VPN features.
The App may also display ads (including rewarded ads that can extend connection time), show connection status, and provide related utilities such as server selection and IP address display.
This Policy applies to information processed in connection with:
This Policy does not apply to third-party websites, apps, or services that you may access while using a VPN connection. Those services are governed by their own privacy notices.
We collect only the information needed to operate, secure, measure, and improve the App, or to provide advertising and diagnostics where those features are enabled. Depending on the features you use and the permissions and consents you grant, we may process the following categories of data:
We do not require you to submit a name, payment card, government ID, contacts list, photos, SMS content, microphone recordings, or similar personal files to use the App. We do not intentionally collect the content of your browsing activity, messages, files, or the websites you visit through the VPN tunnel.
We do not sell personal information.
To be clear, Aurora Link VPN does not intentionally:
Technical metadata needed to operate a VPN (for example, connection timing, selected server, and IP addresses used to establish the tunnel) is not the same as browsing-content logging. We process that operational data only for the purposes described in this Policy.
The App requests permissions that are necessary for VPN operation, notifications, advertising, and related service functionality. You can review or revoke some permissions in your device settings. If a required permission is denied, related features may not work.
On some Android versions, third-party SDKs included in the App (such as advertising or diagnostics libraries) may rely on additional platform capabilities, including an advertising identifier. Those capabilities are used only for the purposes described in this Policy.
The App may use Google AdMob and related Google advertising services to display ads, including rewarded ads that may grant additional VPN connection time. Advertising helps support operation of the App.
Google and its advertising partners may process data such as advertising identifiers, device information, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, app and ad interaction events, and similar signals to provide, measure, and improve ads under their own policies.

You can limit ad personalization through supported Android settings, such as resetting or opting out of the advertising identifier where available. Where required by applicable law, non-essential advertising features are enabled only after required notice and consent. Refusing optional personalized ads does not prevent the App from showing non-personalized ads where permitted.
We may use Google Firebase services to operate and improve the App:
These services may process device identifiers, app instance identifiers, crash logs, and similar technical data. For more information, review Firebase Privacy and Security. Where required by law, non-essential diagnostics or analytics are enabled only after applicable notice and consent.
Where required under applicable law, non-essential processing (such as personalized advertising or optional analytics and diagnostics) is enabled only after you provide consent.
You can manage available choices through in-app controls, Android permission settings, and advertising identifier controls on your device. You may also stop using the App by disconnecting the VPN and uninstalling the App. Withdrawal of consent does not affect processing that lawfully occurred before your choice was updated, and it does not affect processing that is necessary to provide the VPN service you request.
We use collected information to:
We do not use the content of your VPN traffic to serve targeted ads, and we do not sell personal information.
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We may share limited data only as needed in the following situations:
Third-party services process data under their own privacy policies. Please review those policies for additional details about their practices.
When the VPN is connected, supported device traffic is routed through the VPN tunnel to the selected server. This is required for the App to function as a VPN. Routing traffic is not the same as reading or storing the content of that traffic.
We do not inspect VPN payload content for advertising, resale, or user profiling. Operational logs and technical metadata may be processed as described in this Policy to keep the service running, secure, and reliable.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information in transit and at rest, including encrypted VPN transport between your device and the VPN server where the service is active. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for keeping your device updated and for using the App only on a device you control. If you believe the App is being used without your authorization, disconnect the VPN and uninstall the App from the device.
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including providing the service, maintaining security, complying with law, resolving disputes, and improving the App. Retention periods vary by data type, legal requirements, and operational needs.
Local App data on your device is generally removed when you clear App data or uninstall the App. Third-party services such as Google advertising and Firebase may retain data according to their own retention practices.
Because VPN infrastructure, advertising partners, and service providers may operate in more than one country, your information may be processed outside your country of residence. Where required, we take steps designed to apply safeguards consistent with applicable law.
Aurora Link VPN is a general-audience application. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, or under the minimum digital consent age required in your country (for example, 16 in some jurisdictions).
If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us using the method in Section 18 so we can review and delete the information where required. Do not allow children to use the App.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of personal information, to object to certain processing, or to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. These rights may be limited by law, including where we must retain information for security, legal, or operational reasons.
You can also:
To exercise applicable rights, contact us using the method in Section 18. We may need information reasonably required to verify your request. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect legal, technical, product, or business changes. The updated version will be posted with a revised "Last updated" date. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice in the App or through other reasonable means. Continued use of the App after the updated Policy takes effect means you acknowledge the revised Policy.
If you have questions, requests, or complaints about this Privacy Policy or Aurora Link VPN data practices, please contact us through the developer contact option on the App's Google Play Store listing, or through any in-app support or feedback option that may be available in Settings.
We will review requests within a reasonable timeframe and in accordance with applicable law.
